Town of Jackson
The Town of Jackson is the heart of commercial activity for Teton County, with a collection of restaurants, galleries and shopping opportunities that is commensurate with the areas reputation as a world-class destination. Jackson is accessed from the south by U.S. Highway 89 , which turns east at its intersection with Wyoming State Highway 22 and becomes Broadway, the primary east-west travel route in Jackson. Broadway intersects with Cache Street at the Jackson Town Square and the iconic elk antler arches that signify this area as the center of pedestrian activity for visitors to Jackson. Traveling north from this point, Cache Street again becomes U.S. Highway 89 (North), and is the primary north-south travel route for Jackson as well as the gateway to and from Grand Teton and Yellowstone National Parks. Only a couple of blocks in either direction from this center of activity, homes exist that allow area residents to remain oblivious to the hustle and bustle of town – while providing the opportunity for leisurely walks to their favorite coffee shop. Homes in this area range from entry level townhomes to luxury single-family homes. In-town residents benefit not only from their proximity to shopping, dining and public facilities, but also from recreational amenities such as the “Town Ski Hill” at Snow King and Cache Creek access to the Bridger Teton National Forest, which provides groomed Nordic skiing and summer mountain biking opportunities within a 5-10 minute drive from the center of town.
